The success that you achieve is based in part on the belief that you have in yourself. The belief system of success – the laws of attraction is something that you do in your mind. We all have beliefs – we use them to navigate through the world but some beliefs are better than others. That is, some beliefs will limit your degree of success while other beliefs will support you. Just think about this for a moment – the primary difference between not achieving and achieving your goals could be a function of your beliefs.
So for example, if you believe that you have no power and that the system is rigged against you then you have the belief of a victim and you will blame others for your lack of success. However, if you start believing in yourself and that you have the power within you to do anything that you put your mind to – then all you need to do is set an intention to achieve a goal and you will start moving forwards. As you take action – even if the action steps are incremental – it will serve to build a belief in yourself that you can at least achieve a small outcome. You then take another action step – you validate yourself for taking action and learning something in the process – and then you take another action step. As you set an intention - take an action step – and validate yourself for what you learned and the outcome that you achieve – it serves to build in the belief that you can achieve an outcome if you put your mind to it. So, then extrapolating from this you then form the belief that you can achieve a significantly larger goal as long as you focus in and work diligently towards the outcome.
Now years ago I remember Tony Robbins pointing out that the Japanese had a value on constant and never-ending improvement (Kaizen) to which he created the acronym, ‘CANI’.
A couple of weeks ago I asked myself what belief I needed in order to be a greater success and then the thought CANA flashed into my mind. CANA being an acronym for ‘constant and never-ending action’. And since that moment I have found myself being totally focussed on taking action. So whereas before I might have taken ten minutes out of my schedule to phone a friend or check Facebook I now find that I am so much more productive – and it feels great.
And I should also like to point out that CANI – that is constant and never-ending improvement presupposes CANA – constant and never-ending action. So take action and periodically reflect back upon your thought processes, the action that you took and the results that you got - and preserve the positive learnings, develop new understandings and then apply those learnings and understanding to the next action step that you take. So you steadily build in efficiency and effectiveness.
May I suggest that you make a list of beliefs that will serve you. Start with your present state or a desired outcome and then write a list of beliefs in the form of a statement or a command. For example, if you have a health problem a useful belief could be that there is actually a simple affordable solution and that you just need to do a bit of research to get the information. In fact that belief could be useful in many areas of your life.
