NLP and Self Hypnosis Training for Mums and Dads: Welcome back to Abby's Learning Platform - where you can learn to coach yourself - and move from the back seat of your life into the drivers seat - and build the next best version of yourself. Gold Coast Australia and Online Zoom sessions.
These one-on-one NLP training sessions are for Mums and Dads who want to build a happy and loving homelife with the people they love by learning how to develop the behavioural flexibility, communication skills and mindset needed to handle difficult interactions more effectively.
Learn how to communicate more effectively, handle emotional reactions and break the patterns that keep causing conflict with your partner and your children.
Whether you're a mother, father, wife or husband, you may recognise some of these situations:
The problem may not be that you aren't trying hard enough.
It may be that you're using the same responses in situations that require something different.
One of the key concepts you should learn is requisite variety.
The principle is simple:
The person with the greatest behavioural flexibility has the greatest ability to influence the outcome of an interaction.
If your teenager becomes angry and you automatically become angry too, you now have two emotional people trying to resolve a problem.
If your partner becomes defensive and you respond by becoming defensive, the same pattern repeats.
But what happens when you have more choices?
You can remain calm when someone else becomes emotional.
You can communicate differently.
You can recognise when to speak and when to listen.
You can challenge without creating unnecessary conflict.
You can step back without withdrawing.
You can set boundaries without escalating the situation.
You become less predictable - and more resourceful.
And that gives you a greater ability to influence the interaction.
Parenting teenagers can be challenging.
Your child may experience emotions intensely and react quickly to frustration, disappointment or perceived criticism.
As a parent, your instinct may be to correct, reason, explain or impose consequences.
Sometimes that works.
Sometimes it simply creates another argument.
Learning greater behavioural flexibility gives you more options.
Instead of asking:
"How do I make my child behave?"
you can begin asking:
"What response could I choose that is most likely to produce the result I want?"
Relationships can fall into repetitive patterns too.
One partner complains.
The other becomes defensive.
The first person pushes harder.
The second withdraws.
The argument escalates.
Eventually both people feel misunderstood.
The solution isn't about deciding who is right or wrong.
It is about learning how to change the pattern.
When one person develops greater flexibility, they can begin responding differently - creating opportunities for the other person to respond differently too.
Abby's coaching can help you develop practical mindset, communication and behavioural skills that you can use in your everyday relationships.
You can learn to:
You can't control other people.
But you can become much more flexible in how you respond to them.
And sometimes, changing your response is the first step towards changing the relationship.
