Where did you learn about nutrition? From your family, your school, media advertising, your doctor, nutritionist, naturopath? What were the sources of that information? What vested interests played a part in the desimination of that information? Did you ever think to question that information or did you take it for granted?
Nutrition to me is about feeding up mum and dad so that they give birth to, and raise strong healthy children. Food is fuel for the body. What food looks like, tastes like or smells like is secondary to its nutritional status. Yet the food industry and sadly even some doctors, nutritionists and naturopaths seem to have a hidden agenda based upon their value system or the profitablity of their business.
As more and more people realise that the dietary guidelines given to them do not work, they quite naturally develop an interest in traditional nutrition. You are invited to learn more.
"Guess what they feed a pig if they want to make it as fat as possible as fast as possible?
Low-fat milk.
Because if they give the pig milk with fat in it, the pig gets satiated. It’s satisfied and won’t eat any more. But if they give it low-fat milk, it will eat the grain they feed it forever because it’ll have a deficiency of fat.
Now think of what we’re eating for breakfast in this country…
If you don’t want to get fat you’re told to drink low-fat milk, and corn or wheat or oat-based cereal.
It’s the prescription to make you as fat as possible as quickly as you can get there. You’ll never stop wanting to eat because you’re never getting any food that causes satiation.
Americans are told to eat a diet that is scientifically designed to make you as fat as possible as fast as possible." Al Sears MD Read more.
"For the last four decades, dietary fat and cholesterol have been the villains in heart disease. But now some medical experts are coming forward to challenge this medical paradigm." At last the truth on saturated fat has made it to the mainstream press in Australia on mainstream media: "ABC TV Catalyst". This is exactly what the Weston A Price Foundation has been teaching for years.
"I’m sure you’ve heard about the most famous Blue Zone, the island of Okinawa in Japan, and how long the people there live. They’ve done a famous study on it, called the Okinawa Centenarian Study. Okinawa has a higher percentage of 100-year-olds than almost anywhere on earth." Al Sears MD Read more.
