The best thing to do is to return to the hypnotherapist and book another session but as an adjunct the practise of meditation has been found to be effective in reducing stress levels and hence the need to medicate with cigarettes. This is where the practise of daily meditation helps to ensure you remain a non smoker. Awareness that is developed through the practise of meditation is the key. Step 1. Make a decision to stop smoking today. Step 2. Each time you feel like a cigarette make a note of how you feel and what you are doing. Record this information on a piece of paper that you have attached to your packet of cigarettes with an elastic band. Do this for 2 - 3 days then: Step 3. Book a hypnotherapy consultation at which time we will clear the triggers. Step 4. Twenty to thirty minutes of sitting meditation each day will pay great dividends in reducing your stress levels.
