It is well known that hypnotherapy is effective in helping eliminate bad habits such as smoking and over eating. However, it is not unusual for someone to start smoking six months or a year after they have stopped, due to a new stressor in their life. The best thing to do is to return to the hypnotherapist and book another session but as an adjunct the practise of meditation has been found to be effective in reducing stress levels and hence the need to medicate with cigarettes.
