The processed food industry has been very successful over the last 100 years in convincing the medical profession, nutritionists, naturopaths and the media that natural food that nourished families for generations is now bad for us, and that only imitation junk foods are good for us. Consequently those dieters who eat low calorie products containing aspartame, for example, may actually put on weight -- research shows that aspartame causes carbohydrate cravings, hence causing you to eat more.

There are three main areas to weight loss. The first is education. You need to educate yourself on the facts around nutrition. As the Gold Coast Chapter Leader for the Weston A Price Foundation I have compiled the list of educational materials at the top of this page. You should aim to read all the articles and books listed, and you will need to buy the cook book: Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon, which is available from my office. However, as I am not qualified to give nutritional advice so you should seek the advice of a qualified health care professional or I can refer you to a qualified naturopath who has a background in the work of Dr Weston A Price.

The second step involves learning how to prepare your food correctly. You can learn how to prepare your food correctly in the books Nourishing Traditions and Learn how to cook the way grandma did.

The third step involves addressing your emotional issues around food. As a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Ericksonian Hypnosis and Time Line Therapy I can help you to deal with your emotional reasons for overeating and making poor food choices. I can also help you to 'reprogram' yourself so that the new healthy food choices come naturally.

How many NLP consultations will I need? Most people book in for three 90 minute NLP consultations spaced two weeks apart, and thereafter come once every two months for a year. Consultation fees are affordable.
